3. Mega Man Universe
Lately, Capcom have been reckless with their Mega Man properties, especially those that show the most promise. Take Mega Man Universe for example. This downloadable title for XBLA and PSN stood out of the franchise as the first entry that allow players to create their very own Mega Men from scratch. The idea of a “do-it-yourself-Mega Man game” was unheard of then and now. Not to mention the possibilities with it seemed endless.
Unfortunately, Capcom seemed to have been experiencing problems with MMU that included co-creator Keiji Inafune leaving the the company behind, and negative feedback mounting over the game’s design. Eventually, Capcom decided to cancel MMU, a move that enraged Mega Man fans who felt they had thrown away what could have been the most original –if not best– MM game to date.
