5. Gun Loco
When Square Enix does a shooter it’s usually a disaster. But in the case of the Xbox 360 exclusive team based shooter Gun Loco, the disaster may have only been it’s cancellation. The game seem to have a lot going for it in originality. It was set on a prison planet filled with cartoony gun toting convicts, each with their own unique violent skills and backgrounds. Gameplay consisted of parkour style run n’ gun tactics through several sandbox style urban arenas.
Though everything seemed fresh, consumers were split on the appeal of Gun Loco when it was unveiled. One one side, people couldn’t appreciate it’s visual style and zany characters. On the other side, it’s gameplay seemed original and exciting enough to pull people away from their Call of Duty and Battlefield games. Whichever the case, Square Enix pulled the plug before the final verdict could be dropped.
